Booking
The only concerts we book is the „Bruitkasten“ series. It takes place every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of a month with 2 to 3 acts each night in a gallery at Ebertplatz called „Gemeinde Köln“ (http://www.gemeinde-koeln.org).
This concert series is about improvised and experimental music and we are always eager for anything beyond those words and disciplines. We have also featured dance, theater, performance art, etc.
We pay for GEMA but don’t have funding for the series. Thats why we mostly address musicians from the local scene. If you are from outside Cologne and want to fill an off day we are willing to host your gig, but please note that we cannot cover travel or accommodation expenses. We simply collect money from the audience for the musicians.
Keep in mind: The concerts take place in an art gallery and we have to arrange with the current exhibition. Which means that the space and possibilities could sometimes be limited.
If you want to perform at the gallery, please fill out this form.
Something to put into your calendar:
- For concerts between September and December, the form will be open in June/July. You will get a response at the beginning of August.
- For concerts between February and June, the form will be open in November/December. You will get a response at the beginning of January.
ALSO, Spontaneous performances:
We reserve one slot every 1st Wednesday of the month for local performers who want to do a spontaneous performance/experiment of any kind. The more challenging to known formats, the better.
If you are interested, please send an email with the subject „SPACE RAID“ between 1st and 5th of each month to: bruit@impakt-koeln.de. Emails outside of this time frame and with other requests will unfortunately have to be ignored.
For example, if you want to perform on the 1st Wednesday in October, send us an email between the 1st and 5th of September. You will receive a reply no later than the 10th. If there is no answer by that point, we cannot host the concert. Please include the lineup and 1-2 lines about what you might do. formatting exactly like this:
